Long time Apple users will remember the Apple QuickTake 150 digital camera. One is found, but the author had a lot of trouble using it with OS X and no USB connections. OS 7 FTW!

Apple launched the Quicktake 100 in 1994. It could store eight photos at 640x480 resolution and connected to a Mac by serial cable. Here are some photos from the updated 200 series, which was discontinued when Steve Jobs came back to apple. But keep this esoteric knowledge on the down low.

Yes, Apple actually released their own digital camera, called the “QuickTake 200, back in 1994. This example sold for $120 recently on eBay.

Will people just Digg anything these days? Here's an impressive picture of an Apple digital camera which I guarantee you NO ONE in the keynote room has in their possession. Will you buy it? I'm guessing it's only available on eBay. How do we get people to think before they get duped into Digging every story?

Why yes, it is one the very first, if not officially the first, digital camera--ever. At a whopping 0.3 megapixels, the Apple Quicktake 100 digital camera was targeted for the K-12 audience, with a going rate of about $750 back in '94.
