Safety Camera Partnerships (SCP) were Local Government-based organisations, set up in the United Kingdom in 1999 as part of The National Safety Camera Scheme to enforce UK speed limits and thereby improve road traffic safety.

In what has been described as an historical clerical error, the Dorset Strategic Safety Camera Partnership is having to track down all of the drivers who have been caught by a particular speed camera over a period of ten years and inform them that their fines are to be refunded and any penalty points rescinded. read more

Swindon has become the first town in the UK to do away with fixed-point speed cameras. The nine-strong cabinet of the Conservative-run council voted unanimously in favour of withdrawing from the Wiltshire and Swindon Safety Camera Partnership.

"Operation Impact "is billed as a public-private partnership to address safety on the south side. The project itself includes police patrolling some neighborhoods and has private companies in the area using surveillance cameras to record possible criminal activity.

Swindon Borough Council has recently caused waves by threatening to withdraw from our local Safety Camera Partnership unless the Government allows us to share in or take fully the revenue generated from speed camera fines.

The Mid and South Wales safety camera partnership website have produced a list of reasons that people have given for speeding when they have been caught. Just thought i'd share them with you allI was trying to sell my car and the person who was clocked by a speed camera was test driving the vehicle (when checked, the car was over 50 miles away
